Slovak koruna shows weakness against dollar following rate cut

The Slovak currency declined against the US dollar during early trading on Tuesday following the Slovakian Central Bank’s decision to slash its two-week repo rate by 75 basis points to 2.50 percent. As of 6:20 am ET Tuesday, the Slovak koruna fell as low as 23.5620 against the greenback, down from yesterday’s North American session closing value of 23.293.

Australian dollar weakens against majors

The Australian dollar showed weakness against its major opponents in the early Asian session on Tuesday. The Aussie thus reversed Monday’s multi-week highs against most of them.
